Thank you for shopping with NYDA. We want to ensure your jewellery arrives safely and transparently. Below are the terms and conditions that constitute our Shipping Policy.
Processing & Production Times
• Standard Orders: All standard, ready-to-ship orders are processed within 1–3 working days. Orders are not processed or shipped on weekends or bank holidays.Personalised & Custom Items: Personalised pieces are handcrafted uniquely for you and require a production window of 15 to 25 working days to be made. Please note that our standard shipping times are added on top of this production period.Order Amendments: Due to the bespoke nature of our personalised items, any changes to custom text, sizing, or shipping addresses must be submitted to support@nyda-jewellery.co.uk within 24 hours of placing your order. After this window, the item moves into production and changes or cancellations cannot be accommodated.Combined Shipments: To manage shipping costs and minimise environmental impact, orders containing both standard and personalised items will be held and shipped together in a single package once the personalised item is complete. If you require your standard items sooner, please place two separate orders.Working Days Defined: All production and shipping estimates refer to working days only (Monday to Friday), excluding UK bank holidays.

This covers international transport and baseline courier custom clearance/brokerage charges only. Please note: Royal Mail acts as our domestic carrier within the United Kingdom. For international orders, Royal Mail handles the initial export out of the UK and then forwards the parcels to destination-country postal systems or local courier partners (such as USPS in the USA, La Poste in France, etc.) for final delivery. Delivery timelines vary depending on the destination country. Some international deliveries can take significantly longer than others due to these local postal networks and varying customs clearance procedures. These external delays are completely out of our hands, and we appreciate your patience while your parcel is in transit.
Shipping Liability, Delays & Damage
Once your order has shipped, you will receive a confirmation email containing your Royal Mail tracking number so you can monitor its journey.
• Courier Delays: NYDA cannot be held responsible or liable for any delays that occur once the parcel has been dispatched. Customers are required to check their tracking information regularly, keep themselves up to date with the shipment status, and contact the courier directly for any delivery updates or adjustments.Customer Redirections & Safe Places: Please note that if you use the Royal Mail app or website to elect a 'Safe Place', deliver to a neighbour, or alter delivery instructions after dispatch, NYDA cannot be held liable for any loss, damage, or theft occurring at or from that chosen location.Items Damaged in Transit: Our gold-plated stainless steel jewellery is carefully inspected before leaving our facility. If your jewellery arrives scratched or damaged due to rough handling during transit, you must report this to us at support@nyda-jewellery.co.uk within 48 hours of delivery. You must provide clear photographic proof of both the damaged jewellery and the outer shipping packaging. This allows us to log a claim with the courier. Reports made after 48 hours will be considered normal wear-and-tear and will not be eligible for transit damage claims.Parcels Marked as Delivered: Once Royal Mail or their international delivery partners provide delivery confirmation (including GPS data or photographic proof), the package is legally considered delivered, and NYDA is no longer liable for the parcel.Parcels Lost in Transit: In the rare event that your package is officially deemed lost by Royal Mail while in transit, NYDA will fully support you. Please contact our team at support@nyda-jewellery.co.uk with your order number. We will initiate an official investigation and claims process with Royal Mail on your behalf to arrange a replacement or refund.
Customs, Duties & Taxes (EU & International)
NYDA is based in the United Kingdom. All shipments sent outside of the UK are classified as international shipments and are subject to border regulations and duty thresholds unique to each individual international destination.
All international orders are posted Delivery Duty Unpaid (DDU).
• What NYDA covers: The price paid at checkout covers only the trackable physical delivery transport and baseline courier custom clearance/brokerage processing handling charges. What the customer covers: NYDA does not cover or pay any upfront government import duties, local import VAT, or local taxes. Each individual country has its own rules and regulations regarding cross-border commerce. Any and all local import duties, VAT, or country-specific taxes levied by your destination country are the sole responsibility of the customer and must be paid directly to your local authority to release the parcel.
⚠️ Important Notice for United States Customers
Due to regulatory changes effective August 29, 2025, the United States has ended the de minimis duty-free exemption. Previously, shipments valued under $800 could enter the US duty-free. Following this change, all packages entering the US, regardless of value or country of origin, may be subject to customs duties, taxes, and entry fees. US customers are fully responsible for paying these customs costs upon delivery network processing.
Please be aware that regardless of order value, customs processing and duty evaluations can delay the delivery process. These customs delays are completely out of NYDA’s hands, and we cannot speed up or influence local border authority timelines.
Failed Deliveries, Refusals & Returned Parcels
In the event that a customer is not in to collect their delivery, fails to arrange a redelivery with their local forwarding courier, or refuses to pay local customs fees/VAT, and the parcel is subsequently returned to us, the following policy applies:
• Deductions: A failed delivery incurs substantial losses for our business. If an international parcel is returned to us due to non-collection or refusal, we reserve the right to deduct the true shipping and administrative costs we incurred (typically between £15.00 and £25.00) from the customer’s original payment, alongside any extra return fees charged by the courier.Refund Timeline: The remaining balance will be refunded to your original payment method. Please allow up to 14 working days for the refund to process.Condition: A refund will only be issued once the parcel has been physically received back at our facility in its original condition. If the parcel is lost or destroyed by the courier due to abandonment or non-payment of customs fees, no refund will be issued.
